Makers of
tomorrow
Will the Makers of Tomorrow please stand up
They are the ones who dare to see the future. They are the ones who take plans out of WhatsApp groups. A fearless bunch. Are you? See, success is not microwavable; dreams don’t just come true. There’s a difference between those who become and those who don't trust—there’s always a better choice. And the better the choice, The better your chances. But tomorrow is approaching, and we need the Makers of Tomorrow to make the better choice. And that starts with saying no to underage drinking. #NotoU18 #MakersOfTomorrow

By the way I’m going to an audition neh if you’re not sure. Okay so I’m the audition venue and already I can see ama top dog, ama early bird ready to catch the worm. This audition is looking for Makers of Tomorrow, peeps under the age of 18 who make the right choices today for the tomorrow they want, starting with the choice to say no to drinking under the age of 18. That’s why since this morning I was making sure I’m making the better choice - they must pick me toe. Ten points for the budding star who chooses to say no to drinking under the age of 18 please.

I start my day by making my bed. Ma raised a clean child, and we all know cleanliness is next to godliness, so I choose to be next to God, especially in this economy. The important part of being clean is the body itself and I only have one choice here, so vaskom it is…but there was no loadshedding, so I had the choice of hot water which is way better than cold so two points for me already.

Now tell me why did all my confidence go out the window as soon as they called my number? I went from I can take all the world to some shy girl giving an unprepared speech in Afrikaans class. But you know me, I decided this is what I’m going to do today, and honesty is better than suffering in silence so I asked the panel if I could start again because I was a little nervous, but I’m feeling better now. They let me start again and the lady gave me a compliment about my hair which was a lovely boost to my confidence. I think that choice gets five points.

Usually, I would make a quick fast breakfast, but a full stomach won't save me from the long lines for itaxi to Randburg. I choose to rather be on time for my appointment and late for my stomach, plus lomama wase rank has ikota today so let me save some space for that. This choice is better times two so plus 4 points for me. Headed home and on my way back I was just thinking about how choosing to make the better choice and saying no to drinking under the age of 18 is not just something only I must choose but actually all of society must get involved in. Zonke bonke we need to be Makers of Tomorrow. But ya I’m finally home. Thank you for making better choices with me

Audition done. Time to feed this belly. There was this girl who was very chatty behind me but instead of ignoring her I chose better, and we had a long chat. Turns out she’s also heading to the mall and has uber black money so because I chose to make a friend, I’m now being offered a high-class lift.See even the simplest of better choices leads to better results. Another two points please.
